La Casetta di Lu is a quiet farm surrounded by the green hills, in Cellarengo in the province of Asti. It is sorrounded by hazelnut trees and a field of lavender, La Casetta di Lu is in front of a large garden with a swimming pool.

We are Luisella and Maurizio and we have moved here in 1999 when our daughter Matilda was born. We left the city of Turin behind for a place to build the story of our family.

We found this place in this beautiful farmhouse that now is called La Casetta di Lu, between Monferrato and Roero, near the hilly landscape of Langhe. Cellarengo is located 300 meters above the sea level, on the edge of Alto Monferrato (High Montferrat) and it opens up to the fascinating ups and downs of the Roero Hills.

In 1999 we started the renovation of our house and in the meantime our son Pietro was born. In 2006 we finally opened the doors to our first guests, our new b&b La Casetta di Lu. We tried to keep the original structure: the guest rooms – two doubles and a Family Room – have been created in the old barn and the porch became the common area to have breakfast in the morning, to read, to play and to stay together.

La Casetta di Lu is a pleasant and relaxing home, a quiet place to find a temporary rest where we can offer our guests all the necessary privacy that they deserve. Our daily goal is to offer our guests a real home to enjoy their holidays without worries, following the nature’s seasons.
